Meopta Meostar 4-16x44 MilDotI was searching for a rifle scope for my Tikka M595 when I called the guys at Sport Optics. I have had experience with high end European optics before, but for this rifle I was working with a tighter budget. When it was suggested that I try a Meopta rifle scope I had reservations about doing so.  After doing some research and finding excellent reviews I decided to buy a Meopta Meostar 4-16×44 with a Mil Dot reticle and target turrets. I can honestly say I was very surprised when I got the scope in and mounted it to my rifle. I the clarity, color, contrast, resolution, and light transmission is comparable to some of the scopes that I paid twice the price for. I have been hunting and shooting for many years and I have to say this is the best bang for the buck rifle scope that I have found.

While the quality of glass is very good I hope to see a couple of reticle changes, maybe something with lines vs the old school mildot. I would also like to see exposed turrets and maybe a side parallex. These things are not deal breakers for me, but might be for someone else. I definitely will be buying more of these scopes in the future.
